I'm not a lawyer, but I found the ruling from New York pretty interesting. At the heart of the matter seems to be: should congress have to explicitly disallow the government from doing anything it wants? There is extensive legislation

Using a spit mask because you're afraid someone is going to vomit sounds like involuntary manslaughter levels of stupidity.

Not a lawyer either, but AFAIK the main difference is you are not exceeding your authorization when using your own computer. You could break into a bank computer, harmlessly write a post on here, and probably still go to prison.

Actually, you did pay more, at least at the time of the court filing. “The increases at Amazon within roughly two weeks of moving to agency amounted to an average per unit e-book retail price increase of 14.2% for their New Releases, 42.7%

This is what most of my friends who used to work in the games industry have done. It's not about the games for them anymore, it's about solving the problems. And they make significantly more money doing it elsewhere (one almost

Maybe I'm off base, but why would we necessarily expect great productivity gains? The late 90's to early 2000's was a time when computers become ubiquitous. Yes, there are smart phones and tablets now, but the difference be

Real average data is necessary but not sufficient. Policy should also consider the real outliers it may affect. So while you could argue that normalizing parental leave is unnecessary because children are better off with their mothers, we

This sub-topic was about normalizing parental leave. Is your argument then that societal policy should only be based upon real on-average differences?
