Exactly. The value is the other students. That's certainly the factor that influenced my experience more than any other. The author may have a point about universities being overpriced, but he missed a pretty key point, so his analysis is s

Is mashable better? I like TechCrunch better, I think. But TC has an acerbic vibe that might put people off. If only we could tell who had the higher value readers.

It doesn't require additional changes. I'm not sure it will fix the .NET client library's paranoia though--I was only guessing.

Hmm, it is complaining about the status line (the first one). I think it is choking on the HTTP 1.0 response with a Connection header. That header was added in HTTP 1.1, but lots of people use it with HTTP 1.0 and pretty much everyone suppo

To me, the only thing that makes twitvid.com wrong is choosing the same name. Some of the features and accompanying copy are the same, but the layout is basically a combination of any ugc site and Twitter. These two both look a lot like jus

It's even trickier than that. People who get it right will often think less of the person using the term incorrectly, but won't bother to correct them. I'm sure similar things happen when you encounter clueless MBA types in the valley. Ther

Well, HTTP doesn't really have versions other than as a shorthand for header defaults. For example, Connection: close handles implementations that assume HTTP 1.1, iirc. An Expires header would help a lot for arc-generated pages served in r
