It's not a matter of maturity, it's a matter of which development methodology is conducive to rapid progress for the greater good.

Pretty sure most people use Dropbox exactly because of its seamless Finder integration...

Why not? Seems secure against evil maid to me (barring hardware backdoors like Intel).

Appreciate the fully secure boot process, even if the Intel situation isn't fully secure. Wish I had an external uC with burned-in firmware on my machine that I trusted to verify my BIOS firmware and orchestrate the boot process.

Except "all matter is made of atoms" has been empirically shown and is scientifically consistent, whereas "all ideas are philosophy" is just meaningless abstract gibberish. It's not the same.

Meh. I don't buy the "moderate valuing of philosophy is a philosophy" argument. If everything is a philosophy then nothing is a philosophy. My point is, suckless products can actually suck despite following their "philos

/usr/local was bad but /usr/local/Homebrew is worse. The best would have been /opt/brew (short, no uppercase letter)

I roughly agree with you in that I think the "Snowden is in the wrong" perspective is overrepresented in the media. That's what I meant by "it's not their fault." I'd bet the public on average is less extr

Great justification for extrajudicial state-sponsored murder. Non-congress authorized war makes it okay. Gotcha.

Physical difference is not the same thing as genetic difference. Humans may subjectively look very different but genetically humans aren't very different. This is empiracle fact. Stop living in the 19th century.
