This post is obviously overly-biased against technical interviews. Steve Yegge said it best: "It's a bit easier to tell if someone's in great shape physically than if they're in great shape mentally. You can't just stare at their brain and

I haven't noticed any major slow-downs since using it, and it wasn't listed up before when Mozilla was checking for slow extensions; but yeah, it is pretty heavy-duty.

Oh how I love Steve Yegge for convincing me that time that I was putting into it before was well-worth it.

I agree with this. In retrospect, I'm so glad I failed because of the time it saved me. The only thing worse than a failed startup is a funded failed startup, because the latter takes up 4+ years of your life, which is why it's interesting

Great point and spot-on, I think. Also, you mentioning that music theory book reminds me of what SICP is for programming. I haven't read "Outliers" yet, but from what I've gathered about it I think the biggest thing Gladwell fails to mentio

This post does sound a bit over-the-top and very node.js biased by calling LAMP architectures obsolete today. But on the other hand, there is a reason why JavaScript is the #1 language on Github - https://github.com/languages

I'm learning Ruby and I'm working on an app that gives you email alerts on CrunchBase updates, my first taste of Rails. And I'm also working through SICP, albeit slowly. I'm also waiting to get my Firefox add-on fully reviewed by Mozilla, w
