This is so sad to see and from looking at the number of people who travelled for Thanksgiving last week I think it is almost certain that these kind of daily death numbers will continue into the new year :( Honestly I don't really know

macOS has a lot of faults but I agree, 3 days to set it up is an odd statement. I have a reasonably convoluted setup with VMware Fusion Windows and Linux guests, a few different developer toolchains (vanilla clang, rust, go, etc) and two do

Installed to tryout it out. I dislike it requires yet another user account just to try it out[1][2]. Overall it is pretty simple to use with a decent UI and worked fine for my quick test of a Signal desktop app video call by selecting the

Microsoft SmartScreen is very similar to Apple's approach. Although I believe you can disable SmartScreen on Windows still which, afaik, you cannot do on macOS without resorting to "hacks" such as editing the hosts file to lo

For those out of the loop - Samuel Paty was a middle-school teacher in France who was murdered in the October 16 terror attack in France. More information https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Samuel_Paty

Yes but that is kind of the point. Going forward all Apple Silicon machines will have this kind of hardware baked into the SoC at no extra cost whereas no Intel system (be it PC or Mac) will. That is a big deal as it means Adobe, Sony, Bl

No 32GB options on any of the models announced today is a shame. Or not I guess as it means I won't be buying anything today M1 looks impressive, hopefully it scales as well to higher TDPs. Pretty much what I expected today with all

Not my experience a few weeks ago when I last tried. It prompts you to install a Google Translate extension that basically just sends the URL to Google's web translate service rather than translate 'in place' like Chrome does

I have one of those finger monitors that always reports things as fine (>97%, almost always 99%). It is difficult to describe what I feel. It is almost like I feel I am being partially suffocated from within my sinus if that makes sense?
