I am 10 years your junior and I had the privilege of playing on BBS (512) in 1994-1995. I was enthralled with my old Packard Bell. True, it was mostly a file dump board (what wasn't back then), but it was fun nonetheless.

From the ACM paper abstract: How many pages are there on the Web? 5B? 20B? More? Less? Big bets on clusters in the clouds could be wiped out if a small cache of a few million urls could capture much of the value. Language modeling technique

Mssr.Byrne Hobart, thank you for an excellent link. Your blog is also quite good. I'm going to have to dig around more. Having played with the actual Excel spreadsheet, this seems like something that probably could have been done with Math

To the founders (Ethan and Daniel?): will you reserve any editorial control? I guess the most obvious factor that could led to the entire site's corruption is bad data (e.g., Han Solo, God, etc.) or particular data that a party may not want
