Based on the comments, there are obviously many people who have had bad experiences of this. I agree with the general sentiment, I think this is a common behavior in many organisations. But at least anecdotally, I'd just like to mentio

Hello 20 ft. and 13 lbs, great if you could use the metric system to describe your aircraft :) Also, in engineering it's pretty common to use it these days, even in the US.

Any plans for a pay-as-you-go (self-service) plan? I emailed you and asked you to take my money, but your sales team disqualified us because we wasn't big enough (reasonable, sales people are expensive). But I think many smaller firms

Another option in this space is https://netbird.io/ Unfortunately they still don't have an iOS client (which e.g. Tailscale and ZeroTier has).

Just did a quick reading of their docs. They seem to provide raw headers in the JSON payload, and if they don't, they also have another mechanism where you can do the MIME parsing yourself. https://documentation.mailgun.com&

Interesting! And if they only based admission on the actual skills [test scores] of the students, it would likely look more like Stuyvesant. - ~75% Asians - ~20 White - ~2% Hispanic - ~1% Black - ~2% Unknown/other https://en

They got bought out by a PE firm that's gobbling up registrars, DNS providers and similar. Mostly a moneygrab, so expect prices to increase and product/tech to deteriorate. I love capitalism in general, but PE firms are mostly a n

The timespan in this study seems to be mere seconds. A typical IQ test (WAIS) takes roughly an hour to administrate.

The timespan here is mostly seconds, so e.g. a "intelligent brain" might take 2 seconds instead of 1 second to solve the problem. A standard IQ test take an hour or so to administrate.

If I lock my money with the bank for 3 months, I can get 3.5%. Otherwise it's currently 2.6%. (those are vanilla rates offered to everyone, btw, nothing special)

Sidekiq Pro is great, we're paying for it! 10k a year I think. But for people who are interested in alternatives, I'd also suggest Good Job (runs on Postgresql). https://github.com/bensheldon/good_job

I don't think the law is applicable to a software project. For example, GDPR is applicable to organisations that are processing personal data. I'm fairly sure that an open-source piece of code that you download and install yoursel

Great news! Been following along for a while and it's a great project. ElasticSearch needs some competition. For us, there are two things missing for us before we could make the switch: 1. Multi-index search; Standard use-case is searc

It seems like this study considers income from work, but not income from capital. In Sweden, the marginal tax rate for work has hovered around 70% for the past decades. Taxes on capital around 30%. https://www.ekonomifakta.se

It still doesn't support daisy-chaining, aka. Multi-Stream Transport (MST) from the DisplayPort 1.2 spec. Basically, connecting two displays via one cable. An 5 year old PC supports it. Sad.

Planned is the keyword here. We've evaluated AVIF and JPEG XL, with JXL coming out on top. As others (Shopify for example) has mentioned, JPEG XL has some advantages (quick decoding, lossless conversion from JPEG, progressive decoding)
