Sansa Clip is great - but WAY behind iPods in Terms of usability regarding audio books. Even with rockbox. I still like the idea of owning one.

Tangara is already linked in [5]. To bulky for me. I also modded an iPod Classic 2009 with iFlash Quad, 512GB storage (it could handle more but the original software can't) and 2000mah battery, which results in >60h playback time. A

Yeah, you may be right... but I always see nostalgia discussions about how it would be to have a distraction free audio player with iPod features and size... So there would be definetely a market in my opinion :-) And since there are modern

Usually, I start with the official docs. Most of the time they are starting with the basics, but non-video content can be skipped very easily. Then it is always a good idea to read open source code. Look for not too big projects leading in

I usually use mermaid.js... From time to time I use svgbob[1]. Sometimes paired with textik[2] or asciiflow[3]. Together with markdown and termsvg[4] these also can be handy for documentation purposes. 1: https://ivanceras.github

Absolutely. There is a german book called "Erziehen ohne Schimpfen" (Parenting without scolding), which provided me deep insights into the behaviour of my children and my own behaviour in response to it. It is also a stated fact i

This is kind of true... It is extremely hard to stay calm in many situations having kids. In my opinion this has nothing to do with the ability to stay calm in general. It's more like long time of being stressed out that gets you there

Maybe take a look at Dr. Spock's Baby and Child Care (latest edition). Great book with good advice. My personal experience: 1. Prepare to be exhausted for a long time (about 2 years) - you can't do much about it, this is just the

Thank you for that, this is a great overview and good hints for getting started. I was thinking about getting a MangoPi Pro with Allwinner D1 and 1GB RAM from aliexpress, which would cost 33 bucks in my country.

Absolutely. The iPod Mini is a usable device that can be modded. The only thing I'm missing on these "older" models (not that iPod Classic 2009 or iPod Nano 7g 2012 are young) is the earphone remote control (e.g. of the cable
