That sounds a lot like a Battle Royale... which is also very popular now. If you ignore the "rankings" that is, and play each game in isolation which I tend to do.

Good for you. Our 5 and 7 year olds get "banned" from youtube every now and then when we detect the slightest bit of "mania", which they do get. In Sweden no screen time is recommended until the age of two, and I would e

"Windows NT is a family of operating systems produced by Microsoft, the first version of which was released on July 27, 1993" NT did not exist in the early 80s, maybe just a typo?

Its sort of obvious if you see stuff like this: https://www.pcgamesn.com/nvidia/ai-gaugan-app-painting-neura... The neural network basically has a huge lookup table of "natural" looking stuff. Just point into

Afaik, here in Sweden they use something called "digital cameras". They take a picture of said car and placement on street and just compare it later on.

I like that about the Expanse novels, automatic systems control a lot of the lower level work in battles. Of course humans still come up with the crazy ideas and sort of execute them on a higher level.

Does 144hz really make any difference in office applications? Gaming, obviously but I cant imagine it affects productivity at all....

What I dont understand is, that yellow sign is actually very visible compared to other things the neural nets can detect. Why hasn't it been done yet? Detecting things as visible as that sign should not be a huge problem.

This is what home assistant needs! The only really lacking thing about HA is the lack of native Android app, but the most important thing is notifications.

The crossplay issue is getting a bit silly, really. Come on Sony, get with the game! I have a hard time believing that Sony will really loose anything valuable by allowing crossplay.

Swim diapers basically keep the _turds_ stationary. Water will still chew away at it and disperse poop everywhere, so its basically run out of the water when an "accident" happens. Still better than solid poop floating around I gu

Not related to memory, but I have had trouble with balance issues for years, and I'm only 38 years old. Now I got a Xbox One X recently, which means, of course, increased gaming. I'm not 100% yet but it does seem to have almost wi

I was about 17 years old and IRC was very hot at the time in school. We had a, for the time, very fast 512Kbps internet connection, and I had gotten used to be able to "ping people out from IRC", no idea why I would do that, but h

This is exactly what keeps happening to my emacs. I have tried emacs in 3 or 4 periods for work and home use. Every time, I add useful things to my config until something breaks, I try fix it and maybe fail or partially fix it. I eventually

Wow. I live in Sweden, and I have the same expectations: I would not really want to spend much time on an interview process, and I have never, ever heard of day-long interviews either! We have had a perpetual shortage of developers though,

The Martian in book-form is very impressive, it describes patching, in binary form, a bug in wxworks regarding priority inversion. I worked with people a few years ago who had done the exact same thing, which felt a bit weird. Not on martia
