This is such an underrated point. A lot of the lucrative “real” jobs are quite destructive and counter to the problems that many charities and NGOs try to solve. Also, if everyone thinks this way it’s going to be very hard for these chariti

Same here (Netherlands) but it’s important to realize that greenhouses make a lot of use of natural light and soil and are therefore not entirely the same as indoor/vertical farming.

Looks like the page is down unfortunately. I've seen headlines like this before, but at the time a lot of the vulnerabilities were in packages that were installed on the image but were not launched, or generally not exposed. I do wish

My next machine is going to be a Linux machine. Having said that, Apple builds high quality products - my 2012 MacBook Pro is still very good, and the software is incredibly stable. Yes a lot of stuff is locked down but that also means the

I share your view of the likely future, but unfortunately it seems very unlikely to me that the open source community is going to unite and prevent this in any significant way. What's happening might give a boost to open source hardwar

Interesting. I definitely would not recommend this course as an only course in machine learning or indeed as an introduction, and I see where you’re coming from with the wrong mental models. I can’t be sure that I do have the right ones but

I just started using Ansible and am quite impressed with its ease of use. We previously did our server setup manually, but we could automate the whole process pretty quickly (I would say 2-3 times the time it costs to set up one deployment

Even in the non profit world senior management attaches a lot of value to prestige (not explicitly, but definitely in practice). If you want a high position in an NGO you might be better off starting your career at Facebook rather than at t

I tried reading some of Asimov's work and I felt exactly the same way - I didn't quite understand the popularity. Seems like a fairly unpopular opinion though. Maybe there's still just something I'm missing, but this com
