Microsoft isn't ending Windows 10 support, it's all just marketing to encourage people to move over. They already partially backed out by saying they will provide updates for (At least) 1 more year if certain conditions are met,

Also, If I remember correctly, the originally announced end of life for Windows XP was extended because too many people were still running it when the date came. (I think they even extended it more than once)

The goal of a standard is to not be forced to code specific things for each implementation out there. This is failure of the web standards that the google implementation has become the standard.

Shouldn't a system like that be part of the car, not the phone? Trying to force a feature to exist outside of the context where it makes sense can only lead to issues in my opinion.

In the U.S., its part of their culture that striking up a conversation with a total stranger is normal. It just looks weird to the rest of the world, but I think it works out in their favor.

Microsoft's next step might be to 'Extend'; add feature to wsl2 that aren't available outside of windows. (To lock in WSL2 Users, and since they have the manpower they can outpace any other linux distro on features)

Probably just some 'Write Once' Memory, where they can raise bits to 1 but can't lower them back to 0. (Or the other way around, depending on the memory)
