Their profit margins were always around 30% or so, except late-2021 through mid-2022 when it fell dramatically due to higher expenses and (unexpected) flat revenue. As for $9B in research and development - they have 66K employees now. Say 3

Somewhat inline with their announcements. Last year they were at 86000 employees, and announced two rounds of layoffs totaling 21000 (11000 followed by another 10000). This number seems to line up with that.

Revenue up 23%, from $27.7B to $34.1B YoY. Net income is up a whopping 143%, from $4.4B to $11.6B - basically went from a 15% to 34% profit margin (and in line with profit margin numbers from 2021 and prior) No wonder stock is up 4% after e

Very cool, curious if you plan to add a summarize feature along with this? I know there are other apps that do that already, but would be good to follow along inside the same single app.

First time I'm hearing about Cursor.sh, this looks really powerful, does anyone else have similar experiences to share? Is it a notch above VS code with the Github Copilot plugin?

I've used this one as well, but in terms of functionality, isn't it similar to GitHub Copilot? I find that GitHub Copilot in general works better and seems to understand context a bit better than the ChatGPT + VS code plugin.

Both are great. Actually the free version of ChatGPT, 3.5, is good enough for most cases. Note that ChatGPT is 'offline' though, you need to copy-paste code back into your IDE. Copilot is one notch above because it integrates dire

Interesting to see Nvidia here - I would assume they have the most to lose from an open consortium like this. Or do they think they will come out ahead even if there is an open standard like this.

If this did have to happen, I would assume it would be a US bank (e.g. JP Morgan Chase) that would buy out BofA rather than a Swiss bank. The reason UBS ended up buying Credit Suisse is because the Swiss government got involved and it was m
