Looks like it retails for $30K, I won't be surprised if the $20K is the bulk price they are paying, so the numbers could be correct. Though as a wise man [1] once said: "The more you buy, the more you save". [1] Jensen Huang,

I wonder what he means by "H100 equivalents" - are these GPUs built in-house or from competitors like AMD / Intel that give equivalent performance to Nvidia's H100s?

The issue is they are charging a 27% fee on top of any third-party payments for any apps linking to an external payment gateway. So technically they comply with the ruling(s) around the world but in a way that it makes zero sense for an

Wow the scale of unintended consequences. So a few dozen sites streaming the game illegally, caused their hosting CDN site to be blocked in the entire country for 3+ months, impacting all other users of the platform.

Is his interest rate example correct? > In 2020, the 10-year US treasury note yielded 0.5-0.7% per year. In 2023, it was between 4-5% – and 4%. These bonds pay interest every 6 months and return the principal amount invested in 10 years.

Not bad, $599 for the entry-level version, though that is exactly at parity with the cheapest Mac mini.

A 3060 12 GB version is not too bad though, it is at a reasonable enough price and has just enough VRAM to be useful for local AI / ML / LLM work.

They did something similar for the 30-series, I think 20-series as well. Though given that NVidia seems to release its consumer GPUs once every 2 years (20 series in late 2018, 30-series late 2020, 40 series in late 2022), I wonder if this

This is only supported with the previous generation NVidia 3090, it is apparently possible to combine two 3090s with 24 GB VRAM and 'fuse' them with NVLink to act as a single high-powered GPU with 48 GB VRAM combined. NVidia no lo

And this is exactly the way NVidia intends to keep it, methinks. Give the consumers / gamers a consumer-priced GPU with a max of 16-24 GB VRAM for the high-end models. By consumer-priced, I mean $500-2000. And make anyone interested in

Not new cards, at least not consumer grade. They released the 30xx series in 2020, and the 40xx in late 2022, so I'm guessing their 50xx series is at least a year away, according to some rumors, could be early 2025 as well. But, it say

Consumer grade GPUs like NVidia's 3090 and 4090 max out at 24 GB VRAM, and those cost $1000-2000 each. You can get higher VRAM but need enterprise GPUs which are in the five figures, easily starting at $30K a pop. Per this calculator,
