Read my post again. I expect perpetual deflation with bitcoin. That's why I say that it will appreciate at 2% a year.

A consumption tax doesn't need to be regressive. There are already exemptions in state sales taxes for some "necessities" (i.e. food, internet, electricity). If the basket of exemptions is large enough, then the poor would pa

It's not an addition. Capital gains taxes already exist. But the more complicated calculating your taxes gets, the more incentive there is for tax reform.

The difference is that USD is inflationary while bitcoin is deflationary. If you have $10k in spending money sitting around would you rather it be appreciating by 2% every year or depreciating by 2% every year? Right now bitcoin is too vol

You could do something like keep the frequency offset between keys constant for all keyboards, but add some way of shifting the frequency of all of the keys by the same amount. It seems feasible to me, but I have no expertise in the area. T

When I said microwave I meant specifically the microwave technology utilized by HFT (I've always heard it referred to as simply 'microwave'). I guess I was mistaken because I read that the microwave used by HFT beats out fibe

Microwave requires line of sight. That's where its advantage arises. You can't assume line of sight with a WiFi router.

In countries that have already fought the hard fight for worker rights there are laws in place to ensure workers' rights don't regress. Amazon isn't breaking any laws. The working conditions are safe, the employees are paid a

Choosing Costco over Amazon seems like a rather pointless moral stand to make. What about the people who work in the logging, fishing, and mining industries? You probably use their products every day and they risk life and limb for similar
