Does anyone understand how domain seizing technically works? What are they actually doing? Whois'ing the domain shows the nameservers are with GoDaddy. Is it so simple that they are just asking GoDaddy to change the site to this image? I

I agree it probably isn't true. But I've seen this argument quite a few times about how there is not a chance something this important is covered by an NDA. People make mistakes. I think this argument has nothing to do with the relevance of

This is very much the direction I am trying to go. Of course I will be releasing as early possible. But many of the things you mentioned are on my radar, except for the dns api. I'll have to check out Zerigo. I am starting out as an Enom Re

This is an announcement of my current project. I have a very good idea of what I want in a domain registrar, but I would love to hear what other people want. Please let me know if, if you have the time.

Started watching this a few days ago. Although I was enjoying the talk, my wife (who doesn't know how awesome Jason is) pointed out that he was building a very big straw man when talking about the company where no one works. She had a good

A proffessor once told me never to believe the physical limits. He mentioned how a wavelength of light was the smallest we could etch silicon. He then mentioned that today (at the time of the class) we were etching with 1/20th the wavelengt

This reminds me of a class I didn't study well for. We where allowed one piece of computer paper for reference. I printed my friend's entire set of notes for the class using a VERY small font. When I was done, he wanted a copy too :)

I actually thought the thesis was pretty interesting, it seems to be: "Unlike most large Web companies that built their businesses on cutting costs out of an industry and eliminating middlemen, OpenTable has managed to do the exact opposite

My favorite part: "Facebook has not responded at all; not taken these advertisers name off this bogus site -- or remove the site completely -- and takes no responsibility that someone unnamed can just create a page that can suggest that peo

Before CSS became popular, tables where used heavily, not just to show data, but also to layout page. As people started to use CSS for layout tables become the enemy. Tables became bad, and CSS became good. So much that some people where u

This make me wish there was one nearby within site from an insecure area. It would be very interesting to take data on male/female ratio over course of a few hours.

It would be interesting to make a service where you forwarded your email to somename@yournewapp.com and it replied with a link to that email so that you could easily share it. I haven't done my google homework. I wouldn't be surprised if it

Because of these things: - Apple decides which apps go and which don't. - I have to read a list of rules to know if I can actually sell my application - Apple takes 30% of my money. - Apple decides what programming language I can use. I tho

Looks like an amazing place. Since PG said he was open to suggestions. Why not rent it to y-combinator startups? I don't know much about SF, so I am assuming it doesn't make sense from a cost perspective.

I agree, I probably am not going to use an API that I don't see any app using. Also if you write an app that transfers between two phones you will have a much better idea of how the API will need to work. Picture sharing is a good start
