Cory, I really enjoyed reading your "Opps Daily" emails. Even though I, like many others, never acted on any of them. Thanks for your effort here!

My understanding is that the design is fundamentally flawed; the engines are too large to fit under the wings with the existing landing gear, so they were moved forward, thereby upsetting the balance between the center of thrust of the engi

Thanks for the tips! I've been doing something similar with Python + FreeCAD for FDM (3D plastic printing). Wood is just so much nicer as an end product, though.

I've been thinking about wood CNC myself. What kinds of tools are used these days? I have seen basically X-Y stages hooked up to a hand router, but I wonder if there are other approaches.

The van life (well, mostly RV life) is really taking over Silicon Valley. Many streets now have a row of RVs parked at the curb. For example, El Camino right in front of Stanford. The wealth disparity is dramatic, but so is the rent in t

FreeCAD is not bad and used pretty extensively by the 3D printing hobbyists. It's nicely script-able with Python. However, from my experience, it's still nowhere near the level of polish that e.g. Solidworks has, so professional

A coworker of mine lives in the east Bay Area hills and had power outages on two occasions for a couple of days at a time. Their Tesla worked just fine, backed by solar panels and a power wall. If grid instability becomes a bigger problem,
