Seriously excellent work by Newegg. I'm worried, however, that they've now made themselves well-known enough in the industry to avoid future targeting by patent trolls. Honestly, who would go after Newegg at this point with thei

Now, if only I could get a MackBook Pro with 32GB of system memory... Does anybody happen to know why that is such a difficult thing to achieve? It's amazing that, starting next year, there will be mainstream graphics cards with more

I'd argue that my time + cost of parts would make this more expensive than a good NAS. When it comes to storing my photos and video, I'd rather have a purpose-built system than a DIY that I have to configure, patch, and maintain.

The tooling was amazing. I used to do a ton of Flash development back in the day, and the ability to seamlessly create the UI and backend code is still light years ahead of the cross-browser nightmare of creating HTML5 apps. I think Adobe

I think the answer is probably Tamarin[1] which started life as Flash's ActionScript engine and has since been donated to Mozilla. The Flash Player has also had direct GPU support for graphics and video for many years. [1] https:/

Just to help add some clarity, this isn't Blu-Ray in the common consumer sense. I've seen some comments on here about the stability of the dyes and capacity. This technology, as mentioned at the end of the article, is Optical Ar

Unfortunately, in NC, we have a law on the books allowing magistrates to refuse to perform marriages that would not be consistent with the magistrate's personal religious views. It's insane, I know. http://www.nytimes.

I suppose my preference would be that providers simply build the capacity required to support the advertised bandwidth at 100% utilization. This is similar to what Google Fiber does. They don't care if you use 20GB or 20TB in a month f

I'd be curious to know why you would prefer a metered approach when, as you say, for that same price you get uncapped. It seems to me that most people, in the US anyway, would rather not have caps. I can honestly say this is the first

I disagree with your conclusion there. Having your clients violate the ADP TOS (and then subsequently violating it yourself while scraping data) is clearly not a smart move as illustrated by ADP's response.

My two cents on this is that IDEs work better for me personally on large projects. If I just banging out some JS or HTML, then any old text editor will do. If, however, I'm knee-deep in dozens or hundreds of Java classes there is sim

What people are really saying here is that the native APIs provided the standard Java packages are behind. Java, as a platform, has no inherent limitations like this. Feel free to check out the excellent work of the team a Bouncy Castle [
