Have experience working in teams up to 9 time zones apart, but not working at Zapier. I have phone set up to not disturb me with notifications between 10pm and 7am so I wouldn't mind as long as nobody expects a response before next wor

If you could afford flying on a rocket, I bet you can also afford flying first-class. Would that alter your preference?

Does it need to be? Can only one be wasteful? This sounds very close to whataboutism.

No, what he said is they might average the same as their normal pay check but that doesn't mean that what they earn normally is necessary enough and that overtime is some kind of fun money. What the person you responded to has pointed

I've been around since ~1.5 and have no idea what you are talking about. I suspect our perception is very much coloured by where and whom you are hanging out with. Agree that there was never a shortage of negative articles about py2&#x

I take issue with "The reason for both of these is because delightfulness is part of what you are being paid." Unless you would do your current job even you weren't paid at all, then that is not really true. What we do, is ne

Germany in 1919 was definitely not a totalitarian state. The laws were relaxed in 1928 which was BEFORE nazis came to power.

We are touch typists ;) Seriously though, I don't look at my keyboard and therefore have no idea what is on touchbar at any moment. I am not offended as some by its existence, but I also don't find it useful except touchid bit.

Every example of yours had plenty of external help without which I am doubtful they would have as much success. No idea what your definition of totalitarian state is, but there certainly was not a complete ban on firearms neither in Nazi Ge

I agree with everything except that I don't see those broken connections as a loss. Instead I see them as a signal of a relationship that ran its course. There are plenty of people I have fond memories of and wouldn't mind staying

Why does that even matter? Admittedly people like me have a larger proportion of our wealth pinned down in things like real-estate, but it's not like most of us stuff cash in shoe boxes around house. Once you discount accommodation and

Glib? That's a lot to read into a comment why I don't trust my first impressions. I agree that VR is a different medium and that 3D movies probably aren't, but you lost me at why that should matter. I still don't underst

I agree with everything except that "even" in the second sentence. It would be more correct without it. Bigger the error, the more difficult it gets (for anyone including media) to admit it.

Huh? There are still plenty of hunter gatherers around that don't hunt or gather shoulder to shoulder and neither do farmers or shepherds. Communal living did not mean spending all your time in company of others.
