I believe unless you are officially a sponsor for the games, or have recieved permission to use branding, you may not use the phrases "2012 Olympics", "Olympic Games" or "London 2012". There was a hotel had to change it's advertising to "Ne

Why do so many people still use redundant HTML tags? The opening and closing body and head tags aren't needed, nether is the closing html tag. It doesn't make that much difference to the page as a whole but it adds another level of indentin

Why naturally jump to the conclusion that Comcast (Who, while many will criticize, probably know vaguely what they're doing) is broken before researching /why/ it wasn't working? DNS isn't the most simple thing in the world, and things like

W3 Total Cache plugin for Wordpress will combine all CSS and Javascript files into two requests, you can also use something like NGINX, or even better a proper CDN, for serving static resources.

If someone is joining a company to work full time, I can see how teaching them to use the tools "correctly" is good, and new skills are always a plus, but I frequently work on projects with freelancers whom I will only speak to for 4/6/8 we

I've worked with numerous UI designers/frontend devs who have never used the command line (purely because they've never needed to). The learning curve of git is steep enough without having to teach them the command line.

My only worry about software working with this model (one time fee, download install etc.) is the source code. Things like this, particularly, will need to be easily modified and extended to fit into certain environments, and with no sample

I've never understood why people randomly put really big pictures of their faces on things, with no context/tag/info, it's just a face, not even "Hey, this is me" in the sidebar.

You shouldn't validate emails by regular expressions since, technically (at least according to spec) "()<>[]:;@,\\\"!#$%&'*+-/=?^_`{}| ~ ? ^_`{}|~."@example.org is a perfectly valid email address [1] [1] http://en.wikipedia.or
