They are one of the largest hosts in Europe (~50k dedicated servers if I remember correctly). Large doesn't always mean best, though. Similar to OVH, they provide good hardware, reliability and a decent enough network, but if anything goes

When using Skype messaging to a mobile number, you can enter your real mobile number as the 'from' address (In Skype settings). To do this Skype first sends you a confirmation message to the number you want to send from. I'm going to assume

Paranoia much? Surely a much better approach to security would be network monitoring, anti-virus and vigilance. This sounds like blacking out the windows because you can't be bothered to close the curtains. If your tin-hat doesn't feel like

Sudden increases are hard for any app. I just find it strange that, when you talk about Redis with such familiarity, you'd choose a new technology with 4 days to launch. An F1 car might be fast, but if I had to race one I'd end up in a wall

Indeed, but Mongo is actually quite good at failing predictably. I think the biggest issue is not Mongo, but failing to test the application correctly. Particularly when working with a new technology. Mongo isn't the best fit for everything

Wow, this is a terrible idea. Pointing all your domains to a service you don't control with no formal, legal contract on what they can and can't do with the domains you point at them?
