I'm curious; have you read the linked article? Because unlike what you stated, the removal of brown M&Ms doesn't have much to do with comforting the high-value stars, but more like a "flag" that Van Halen looks for i

I'm stealing this tactic when interviewing a QA guy, if I ever do end up looking to hire QA guys, that is. Me: "So here are a set of instructions are programmers were asked to follow. Can you see anything wrong" QA candidate:

No matter how much those conflicts are all made up, I've noticed attitudes like these are far too common.

Kind of off topic, but people have been talking about "programming" their remote control for a very long time. And what does it involve to "program" your remote control? Simply going to the menu on your TV, and setting u

tl:dr; there is a surface (called ODTS) that you stick the drives to. The surface itself connects to your computer via USB, and its through that the drives' content can be browsed. Not a bad concept. I just fear that the adhesive mig

Well, I didn't imply people can't. But I find it easier to use the terminal than a GUI.

When I'm on my laptop, and in the event when I'm not doing any programming work (e.g. making music, viewing photos etc.), I use the terminal to carry out almost any task. Moving files? `mv <file>`. Deleting one? `rm <file

Given that, maybe Google should force users under the age of 13 to fill out an online form that has the parent's consent on it. Although, this might not stop some to forge information on it, at least, Google can remain in compliance

Two-factor authentication might partially be the answer to that. You still provide your own password, except that a second password is generated when you request to be logged in. At least that how I think it works.

You're missing one very important detail: the person issuing the pull request didn't sign a CLA.

It's a templating language [1], but it seems a lot of developers (myself included) use it to DOM description language, just like HTML or XML. Better yet, people replace those languages with Jade! [1] https://github.com/

The number of LOC is nothing to boast about in my opinion. The simpler your codebase the easier it is to maintain, the easier it is to focus on what actually matters: the end product.

Will Harp support adding plugins? For now, I use Wintersmith. It supports Jade and Markdown out of the box, and you can extend it by writing plugins. I wrote one to help me "load" dependencies, without having to use <script>

Just curious: what do you use to minify? In an earlier comment, I said that most templating engines that I used don't minify. You'd have to write your own minifier. (I used Jinja, by the ways.)

Not sure. We simply used a templating engine. Either a) we didn't take the time to read the documentation properly to find out if there is an efficient minifier, or b) there isn't an efficient templating engine that minifies. I'm betting bi

I don't know about static sites. I would imagine to be very beneficial, in terms of bandwidth, to minify HTML. But I once worked on a Facebook-like SaaS, and minifying HTML had huge performance hit on the back-end, since we used templates,
