If you want to dedicate your life to raising and creating a new human being from the ground up, and being able to see your work in action as they grow to become an actual human person - impressing you, disappointing you, going their own way

The article is not talking about having "a great career" (which you can have while also having good balance and focusing on things). To me, the article is more a lament. There is only so much time in this life, and if you're

Not for nothing, but you have probably already consented. Typically user agreements allow for this kind of sale if you’ve authorized use and processing but YMMV.

This article is so close! ALL think tanks are specifically focused on moving the needle on ideas in a certain direction. It’s just easier now to do the work. This article is published by “The Quincy Institute for Statecraft” Think tanks are

Of all the things in this thread - this is the one that grinds my gears the most. Colleagues that believe it’s ok to reply with unedited garbage when you engage with them as a human. I don’t think we need to write code anymore unless we wan

It is offensive and reviling. But people do it anyway. People are lazy. And often don’t care about you, the reader.

The 12 year payoff IF you manage the arbitrage properly really made me wonder why on earth you would buy one of these. I want one, yes. But it sure as hell wouldn't be to save money. It'd be to have something if and when the grid

I don't think Federal (US) regulation under current conditions is going to get you what you want here in terms of outcomes. Regulated AI right now is a grift game. Donations for policy changes, and the ability to lock out competitors.

Have you tried to "rubber duck" an idea with an LLM. The latest models are pretty damnably good at it.

Weird. For me it's in Actions, Issues, and other integrations / workflows / add-ons that aren't that easily replaced.

Thx for the replies - also didn’t occur to me that the company may want to build their own data centers to get off expensive token dependencies if the LLMs are core to the business. I keep considering these like raw software plays but they’

Fair enough! Obviously not a loan, and I didn’t consider “exit soon” as a way to repay investors. Good points.

That thinking is going to die pretty soon. Unless you’re building the groundbreaking foundations that requires heavy capital profitability is going to be a huge concern and soon - but that’s just one undercapitalized man’s opinion :) Also -

No doubt - and that sounds like an awesome and sustainable business that would benefit from a couple million bucks. Would you want $400M?

Totally agree - but do you think that is a 13 billion dollar moat that Anthropic would not be able to solve through branded integrations and connectors? I’d imagine they’re already working with folks like Stripe, AWS, etc on exactly this at

Do they have Fable level models? Or are they all saying “hey we’re dangerous too!” and hoping to get some token spend out of it?

If the models get that good you won’t need Lovable at all. That’s the strange part - the model companies will instead eat the infra layer (at least I’d imagine that’s what happens - Claude just knows how to manage AWS for you). This seems l

I’ve never heard of this company. Maybe that’s because I build software for a living. How many years of insane growth would it take to pay back $400M at this rate? What. Is. Happening?! $13.3B valuation? They mention Adidas, Nvidia, etc but

Unfortunately even with a heavily pruned list the feed is still a spam fest of recommendations that are just terrible. And every email notification is Facebook-level bait and switch clickbait.

The goal is still the singularity though right? Sure, for business, personal, etc it makes sense to build purpose built but that’s not what these companies are trying to achieve in the end. They want to own a nuclear weapon that outstrips e
