One problem with Amazon App Store on Android phones is that if I replace my Android phone, I have to start all over again. Using the Google ecosystem, it's a matter of signing in and all my backed up apps and data are reinstated. The

In my opinion, the increase in Google share price really has to do with the Motorola purchase. There is a potential that Motorola phones could some day be just as popular as Samsung or Apple - this a huge add to the share price and Google&

True, but Apple does not have the corporate stronghold that Microsoft did/does although you could argue the App Store point. Also the upgrade cycle in the Apple profit center (iPhone) is only 2 years and is going to get hit hard by the low

My guess is GOOG at ~$200B is close to the lowest it will get. There are a lot of potential big revenue streams that are currently in development.

I believe Google Voice has already solved this problem. Just as with email, click report spam and the whole user-base benefits. I suppose Google could share that phone number list with others providers.

I bet your mom also couldn't tell the difference between a Sharp TV or a Samsung TV if they didn't have the labels. I think your point is moot.

Only way to assure future updates is to buy an unlocked device directly from Google. I bought an AT&T Nexus S from Best Buy for $49 with a 2 year contract. It did not receive updates from Google even though it had a Google logo on the

The only stock Google phone that was on the list was Nexus S 4G, the Sprint variant. All other variants have been upgraded to Android >4.0 which removes the infringing features.

The case was only against the Nexus S 4G - the Sprint version - which hasn't been updated to Android 4.1. The AT&T version was not part of the case. Android 4.1 removed infringing features.
