Right... and Panama is not PR.... not sure how I thought of Panama when talking about Puerto Rico... I guess that's what the downvote is for. :(

What about protecting it from Chinese interests? Not really sure if this is plausible, but maybe if you let enough Chinese capital into Panama, they can defacto control it, vs having the US impose restrictions on Chinese capital investments

I was always amazed by .kkrieger[1] You get an FPS complete with 3D engine... dynamic lightning IIRC (!), music, textures... ... in 96kb. Granted, most of it is procedural but still it's a very very impressive piece of code. I've

Wow! That's just amazing. I can't believe this is a real effect. I wonder how much has this been researched? Do you have any more links related to this effect?

This clarifies things a bit more so thanks. So in short, if I understand correctly, a "clean" run would mean that in theory if you weren't carrying any safety equipment you would've made it just the same. However to avoi

Very interesting indeed. I would have never thought that the action of resting your own weigh in different surfaces would mean different things. Also, I'm sure there's a historical reason for that (whatever that may be), since eve

if you are climbing and you weight your equipment even for just a second, the whole ascent does not count What do you mean by that? I read it as if using a scale to know the weigh of your equipment makes the ascent not count. If this is c

Would it be feasible to say, install Kubernetes? I've read that a lot of what made zSeries "special" was that they had special purpose chips for a lot of things, from I/O to encryption and other stuff (not really well ve

That's a neat idea. Never thought of that before. At most I laid down a white sheet of paper and put the screws in sort of the same shape as I picked them up from, so I knew these two long ones were at the top, the short ones at the bo

That's some serious job right there, just dismantling the thing and putting it back together. I hate it when I assembled computers and I ended up needing extra screws... or worse, I ended up with "spare" screws which left me

This is very cool. However I am wondering, what could it be used for nowadays? I would do some benchmarking, I don't know, e.g. LINPACK or maybe even distributed.net projects, BOINC ones, etc. Other than that? Maybe you could do some 3
