My barber doesn’t have online booking or phone booking. You walk in and take a seat, or wait in the line if it’s busy. I asked him why not. He told me that he used to take bookings, and stopped for a few reasons: 1. A lot of people book app

> As a side note, Spotify treats classical listeners horribly, ignoring their requests (such as to show more of song titles, or search by label), which I do not understand, because these are the customers that would most likely pay a pre

Varies depending on how much of your audience is ad supported vs premium and other variables (family plan, bulk deal through mobile operator, student deal) but blended it’s safe to work on the assumption of ~$5 per thousand for Spotify. Hig

Great idea, but the first route I searched which was LONDON City LCY to Athens ATH gave me the option of LCY>LUX>ATH, which is not possible. When I click the button that takes me through to skyscanner to check prices, I’m told there a

Cassette and vinyl sales are both up - but still represent a tiny fraction of music sales - vinyl Is about 3% or 4% of sales in the UK. As regards comparing consumption to sales: this is a fairly standard “equivalent” used in the music indu

No surprises. I kept scrolling to find the “surprise”. I would have been much more interested if you’d said “we can scrape Spotify: here is what we found when X” As it happens I’ve “requested access” but nearly hit the back button because I

This feels like the product of a basic coding test. Which is fine, and if so well done. But I was hoping for something more. I clicked four times, hoping that it would get better. Three of those four were distinctly un-awesome, and felt a b

I’ve basically stopped reading stuff hosted on Medium. I hit the limit of my “free” articles way too quickly (often by following links from other platforms, or mailing lists), but the content hosted there is neither compelling enough nor un

This is a very strangely written article, like something churned out by an SEO mill. It half-way alludes to - and then shies away from - a bunch of potentially interesting things, then wildly changes direction in the last paragraph and ends

Flickr was probably the first service I paid money for. I seem to recall shelling out $5(?) a month years back - maybe around 2009, possibly earlier - when I hit the 200 photos limit. I was more than happy to pay that back then, because the
