The relevance to me is that markov chains are a remarkable way to explain why LLMs are both useful and very unreliable. You train on piece of text and then the output 'sounds' like that text it was trained despite being pure gibbe

Eich faced those consequences that you would have wanted -- so he wasn't tolerated -- and was forced to step down. Now we're faced with a Web were all Browsers come from large companies and people are wondering why his successors

I see you're one of those people where 'compromise' is a dirty word. The key is tolerance. Eich's views while distasteful and probably wrong could be tolerated.

Getting rid of Brendan Eich was a bad idea in hindsight. Yes he supported Prop 8 and people didn't like his political views but given the current US climate that seems all very tame in comparison and I'm not sure exactly how that

Why does Apple allow Expo apps on the App Store when they effectively bypass App Review? Doesn't this go against their own policies? I say that as someone who uses Expo precisely for this reason.

Tools empower those with knowledge further than those without knowledge. The fact that people were concerned layman were simply going to be able to take on experienced programmers at their day jobs was farcical.

Shooting people is not illegal in the US -- I'm not sure this is the best analogy or there will be huge limitations when discussing decompilation efforts. Plenty of people are shot or killed lawfully with firearms.
