One other way to possibly interpret this is the substitutability going on: maybe Chrome users are switching to Firefox (or hell even Safari); also Win 8 is growing pretty rapidly. Sidebar: I find IE 11 pretty usable these days -- give it a

There could be multiple interpretations: 1) People hate Facebook in the same way I hate cheesecake: Facebook does such a good job at hooking me in and spending so much time reading content that it's a delicious evil. I hate how cheesec

I don't understand this logic -- simply being a part of a successful public company reduces your opportunities or chances of making a splash? That's preposterous. Yes, there are checks and balances -- however I am hard to believe

I don't work for FB so I don't know the full details of all their acquisitions, but I would look to the success of a company like, say, Parse for what potential could lie here.

Hmmm that's not quite how Facebook works -- not everything needs final approval from the C-level suite (hell, that's their selling point to new hires.) And having some structure isn't always a bad thing - as long as it's

Where are the calls for boycotting Google for doing something blatantly "evil" and illegal? Kudos for Facebook for doing the right thing here. I'm just curious what ramifications this has, if any.

The real issue here is creating an algorithm that optimizes what you like best: friend content, page content, and/or games/apps/etc. I would guess the majority of the population has higher engagement with friend content then

I am not an industry expert, but it seems like a lifetime value play: even if a customer only stays with T-Mobile for one contract term @ 2 years, and assume the cost per month is $50, the total value gained would be the 24 * $50 = $1,200.
