I used [] because I hoped it would correctly handle number indices. But, I originally used {}. The auto-stringification of the keys was my complaint.

I think it depends. LLVM is a very large project which adds a significant overhead to your footprint. LLVM also historically has focused on "normal" (i.e. AOT) compilation so is more concerned about generating good code even if it takes a w

To make this vaguely hackerish, I think stevey nailed the stickiness of this problem: http://steve-yegge.blogspot.com/2009/04/have-you-ever-legali... (skip to 'What exactly do you mean... "legalization"?' for the portion salient to this a

I prefer verify, mostly because with a very common First-Initial-Plus-Common-Last-Name@gmail I get an insane number of idiots typing in my email address somewhere. (I really don't know if people think it's theirs, or if they just don't wa

Has it been mentioned whether the client is ie/js/css or Silverlight anywhere? Either way it'll be a substantial push for installation/upgrade of that tech.

The labels are links to regularexpressions.info so I'd guess yes. I'm pretty sure EN just greps subject + output of something like 'strings' though, it chugs pretty hard on broad searches.

Thanks! So it does seem unreasonable here because there's not a lot of leverage possibility right now when the mortgage rate >= cap rate? (learned that term today ;) Or at least I'd be depending on other things (like appreciation) for v

I just looked into this here out of curiosity. I'm in Vancouver, and for a $300k apt downtown (~550sqft), it's rentable for ~$1300/month minus $200 in strata fees. So, even if I don't pay anything to a bank for mortgage (i.e. I've just got

I really can't tell if this is satire, maybe my detector is broken, but most comments see to be taking it semi-seriously. I apologize if I'm being dumb/baited. Anyway, if it isn't, you're the sort of stupid cunts I want to strangle by the e

Tabs have always seemed like a horrible misfeature to me. The OS already provides a taskbar, so now you've created N*M places to look. Not only that but you can't see all the tabs at the same time once there's multiple windows, so you have

Private bytes or address space? Shared readonly counted twice? I happily suffer Chrome's stupid tab design and lack of Flash (on Ubuntu) for much better end-to-end performance, whether it takes up more memory or not.
