What is the innovation you're talking about in this case? They installed Mastodon and created 40 accounts, only to conclude that nobody cares about it (but somehow it's a massive success at the same time). Is that where we are wit

I've done it to watch a live sports event I really wanted to see. It's basically a combination of me really wanting access to something + not having an alternative source to find said thing.

I don't think you can be concise about it. It just feels weird to ask someone you've never met to come up with stuff that sucks about their job, as people will either ignore you or just make up a bunch of things out of politeness.

This is somewhat aligned with the recent trouble they had in EU as well, so now two different regulatory agencies call them out for the same topics. Are they going to claim "security reasons" again?

This isn't about music streaming but about the payment restrictions Apple forces on Appstore devs. The court decided that Apple's practices destroy competition, which is obviously true. Also it's in line with the new gatekeep

I truly wonder what "unsafe" scenarios an image generator could be used for? Don't we already have software that can do pretty much anything if a professional human is using it?

You're saying it as if someone from Reddit came into your house and forced you to become a moderator or user who submits content. Is that true? Of course not, people are willingly creating communities and willingly submit content to th

It doesn't work out for everybody. Lots of high quality communities outside of reddit have been invaded by people looking for an alternative and as a result they are now fighting massive traffic spikes, spam or the general reddit hive-

I have a 1:1 clone of old.reddit in my PC already, I built it for fun a few months ago. It's a one week task for a senior web developer anyway. The thing is though, most people don't care about these changes and will continue to u
