You can probably review the wetted materials but fluoropolymers are more expensive and not required in consumer water filters so I would assume not much PFAS. If its some activated carbon and IEX resins then its likely not making things wor

Are you filtering your water with molecular sieves? Most water treatment doesn't work by size.

If you don't test it how do you know what filters are needed to remove the contaminants. You may be filtering out things that aren't there and not filtering the actually hazardous things in your water. Although you probably guess

My guess is yes, because they can more easily get into the liquid. Unless you are talking about other liquids like juices or canned foods, those I would expect are similar or vary depending on the type of plastic.

How much Co is in your water compared to your food. EPA says just 2 ppb in tap water. This means if you drink about 40 fl.oz. per day you only get 2ug of Co from your water. Per the EPA you get about 2-20x more from your food. Pretty much i

I haven't been to Japan and just looked at some photos and it seems they are different than the design proposed in the paper. The paper shows a much more angular "V" shaped cross-section with steep sides ending in a point vs

My comment was a bit over simplified, they do flow, but the time scale exceeds the entirety of human history [1]. [1] https://doi.org/10.1119/1.19026

No, its disordered (ie. not a crystal) but not a liquid, it won't flow like a viscous liquid.

No, its not impossible. You can make it in the lab without too much difficulty if you have liquid nitrogen. Just not sold like this and you can't really contain it in a practical vessel as the pressure at room temperature would be too

Some chemical suppliers seem to have autogenerated items, some/many are non-sense and I guess they just hope that you find something and they can make it? I found the example below a while ago but they have since removed it. https:&#x

I find the pre-packaged parmesan and a block of imported cheese are fundamentally different products and not really interchangeable. They both work well in their own way and I will enjoy them depending on what I feel like eating.
