I understand that the demand for lithium grows but as someone who currently lives in Northern Nevada its sad to see more beautiful areas and critical habitat going to be destroyed for new mines and mineral extraction.

I did ICQ (some IRC), then ICQ via Trillian, MSN Messenger, GChat, Imessage/Facebook/Instagram (sigh). For work it was Slack and then MS Teams (again sigh).

I agree, Google's instant answers are quite good and have improved but actually searching to find a site seems to be getting worse and is riddled with paid sites on the top.

All pickups in California are registered as commercial vehicles and you have to pay much larger registration. I think you can get around it if you have a permanent camper installed and its an RV.

As far as I know only certain Nickel metal hydride batteries use rare earth metals. Unless you just meant "rare" as in uncommon. Nickel isn't particularly rare and can be recycled from batteries.

I looked at ProtonMail but ended up going with Zoho as it was cheaper and seems to work. Proton looked pretty nice.

I just moved my domain email over to Zoho following this news ($1/mo, was easy to set up). Seems to be working. Didn't feel like paying Google $6/mo.

In North America if the outlets are relatively new and in good shape there are springs inside that hold the plug in so things don't fall off. With older outlets the springs wear out/loosen and stuff can easily fall out, I've

I think Windows 2000 was a big improvement over 95/98. XP was decent. 7/8 was ok and seems to be going in random directions now.
