Good point, might be bad for certain transport modes, I was mostly trying to reduce the impact of single use packaging.

A glass bottle/jar with a metal cap is far superior if the goal was sustainability. Maybe the user experience isn't as desirable but more plastic that isn't going to get recycled doesn't' seem great...

If your job is to write jokes for a talk show then having AI do it sounds good (if you keep your job and its gets easier) or possibly bad if you are replaced by the machine.

Not really sloshing but you can pump fluid in tubes to mimic a reaction wheel https://ntrs.nasa.gov/citations/19910016066 Can also probably provide some thermal advantages as well. Oh neat, you can use a direct current

Do you mean a piece of the reaction wheel getting thrown across the room? You could shield that with something like they do on jet engines to avoid turbine blades being launched through the fuselage. I think the object itself is heavy enoug

Similarly, this issue occurs with your eyes. When you wear a vision pro you can see flicker issues with tons of displays that were designed to be visible by people and not machines.

seems like a limb trying to look human but ending up creepy is in the uncanny valley. A non-human tentacle limb is simply that, its not mimicking human like characteristics in a slightly off way.

Without knowing what proportion of non-local transactions are scams its hard to say that this is reasonable. I've used ebay and facebook for non-local purchases and not been scammed. I do my best do to due diligence and then hope.

That limits you to buying stuff locally, its a good precaution but means you can't buy anything that is only available further away. I've had good luck buying stuff so far and saved money, I certainly could have got scammed and th

Scanning unit? Seems like the scanning was done using a synchrotron beamline. Maybe there is a suitable beamline at Elettra. I haven't looked closely why the synchrotron is needed. A Sigray instrument might work here, or even something

This is such an odd question with an obvious answer. Same reason we give food stamps to people that can't afford food instead of pay for Michelin star dinners for the middle class.
