Ther are cynical observations to be made about kurtosis and professional incentive structures for analysts and economists employed by investment firms. However if his model performs with the precision of last time then the confidence interv

An alternate interpretation: you can easily find cheap USB power supplies to put everywhere . While the long life per charge is great, the battery will be in a lot better shape three years down the line if it is almost always plugged into

ZNAPS[1] looks pretty cool, but I haven't gotten something like them for the phone/tablet chargers in the car, office and multiple rooms at hom, because I'd occasionally have to pry out the magnetic piece in order to use more

I have two types of magsafe chargers, half of the lightning cables in the house don't work because they're clones of a proprietary standard. Monitors are connected with DVI, mini-DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA and none are older t

In a couple years you won't be able to use a cheap, off the shelf battery charger, monitor cable, or even printer cable without some weirdly expensive dongle trying to keep the ports on your 2015 MacBook Pro still useful. I think it&#x

Unlike last year, your power cord, mouse, monitor, external hard drive, even an outboard gpu can all use the same physical connector, and it's a non-proprietary, industry standard. Last year's laptop was slow because the interne

Could that just be fun to say, though? Why not extend the category to intoxicants? For example, the steam engine coming from refinements to distillation. My point being that you can see technological innovation from the perspective of pursu

That criticism doesn't really make sense. A single form factor for power, high and low bandwidth I/O, and expansion means a transition away from dongles. In 1998, people had stacks of floppy disks, and external floppy drives were

I don't understand the thinness, especially for the iMac, but I suspect they've researched how people respond to seeing them in person in stores. I definitely want light though, and I highly doubt a large number of users using a l

Zones for shipping costs and time estimates are pretty large, so they could even give rough estimates until you input the exact address. Sales tax can differ from street to street, but even that could probably be guessed to within 1% based

The real world throughput of the internal SSD on the new MacBook Pros at 3GB/s will be 6 times faster than SATA III. Additionally you could duct tape four of those Crucial SSDs to the lid and connect them with a single USB3 hub and get

Also in the plus column is the significantly faster NVMe SSD. I suspect that a good portion of the people who use esc already have it mapped to another key like capslock using Karabiner. I think the conversation about this model being flawe

Doesn't Karabiner-elements work with Sierra now? I already move the escape key from the upper left. - CapsLock behaves like Control_R (except that it exists!) - Control_L behaves like Esc It's also pretty common to make Capslock

Note that the crossword was almost certainly referring to the song from the musical Oklahoma. The pretend envy might have been about having something from the popular lexicon, rather than fringe being like a technological feature.

Isn't that really a variation on being good at patterns you've encountered before? Perhaps the only "real" secret to intelligence is avoiding malnutrition or any type of poisoning such as from lead.

I like the idea of using a wiki to track a lot of concepts you've learned. How do you keep track of everything that is in the wiki? Do you have a front page that is organized like an outline, or maybe a long list of concepts?

I think that's an interesting question. On a site devoted to entrepreneurship, taking risks sounds pretty good. And, due to survivorship bias even poorly calculated risks will sound good. Perhaps there's a real world bias as well.
