The building I'm working in (there are multiple companies and the building is managed) has showers, so it is quite convenient. The only annoying bit is that there are no lockers, so I pre-dry my sports gear with a heardryer (this is actuall

Cycle to work, if at all possible. For me it's an hour each way, but apart from the obvious health benefit it also serves as some sort of day markers. In the morning it's really good way to get you up to speed (increase heart rate, get some

I agree. Furthermore, if you think about it, why are we sensitive to noise? In simple terms, because we have sensors, processing "circuit" and some sort of analogy of "code" that has this primitive logic - "high sound pressure -> pain".

Maybe because we used to differentiate people based on the language they speak? Sort of nationality thing? Just my guess.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this approach of writing your own tools. If a person feels that it's better, why ridicule it? Noone is forcing you to use it. If you feel it's not for you, that's fine. On the other hand, some people are

Just a thought - may be the student_id is the question itself? As in all students got different, unique questions, and therefore the prof can easily identify the person by looking at the question?

I never rely on a phone whilst traveling (driving, cycling, hiking). When driving I mostly use built in car GPS or take a secondary dash mount GPS for longer journeys. When on feet I use one primary eTrex with maps, and always have a cheap

And I'm not sure if self-interest and more importantly self-preservation can be seen as emotions. These two are baked in into every live organism even the most primitive ones. And it would be difficult to state that these organisms have emo

You see, I'm not saying that buyer protection is bad, but the payment provider companies should offer the same level of support to merchants. Now for a buyer (legit or fraudulent) it only takes couple of clicks to get their money back. And

The idea is behind chargebacks is good, but the implementation is somewhat lacking. An example, my wife has an online shop, and (unsuprisingly) uses Paypal. A company bought an item from her. The transaction went smoothly, they paid, she sh

I suppose this is really subjective, but I prefer the opposite - videos (to me) are either too slow, explaining stuff that's irrelevant, or too fast, skipping through items too quickly. When it's too slow, it's hard to fast-forward, as you

If everything is so obvious then why the discussion here? Why the book? Everyone here (I hope) is a human, so they must know their cycles, why the talk then?

what business model does linux kernel have, and how much does it cost? EDIT: OK, just to make it clear. I'm not against people asking money for they creations, I'm all 100% up for it. What really pisses me off is 'why is it free?!', and 'i
