I found my current employer prior to COVID, and they had been almost exclusively remote since their inception in the early aughts. Companies with remote-first culture that predate COVID are far better equipped for the cons regarding remote

Aye, just gotta rip off the bandaid and make sure you're firm with the rules. My eldest boy has terrible separation anxiety and acted as though I had died for the first week or so, but adjustments were made and it's been relativel

My kids and wife know there is a rule during work hours: When my office door is closed, I am not home (except for emergency, say broken limb or something). It takes some training, but they become accustomed to it. You need to stress to your

I've been working remotely for nearly seven years now. I've been able to enjoy all of the typical "firsts" for my youngest two, saved immense amounts of time with no commute, and have been able to pitch in more regarding

You just described my eldest child, only daughter. We just hit the teens and things are only escalating. She's vindictive and destructive, particularly when she can exercise her resentment towards her mother. Still trying to figure out

I have two kiddos with sensory processing disorder, with various triggers. My son (Ender) has it far worse than my daughter, and the biggest suggestion I offer is to disregard the opinions of others when you find methods to deal with meltdo

Yeah, the performance is honestly incredible for the (comparatively) poor software libraries, limited GPU cores, and low ceiling for power. I adore my MacBook Pro and find it to be more than enough for my current needs. It's been surpr

This reminds me, I recently read of this happening in TX [1]. It was ultimately ruled a suicide. A horrible, scarring event for all in the vicinity without a doubt. 1: https://www.npr.org/2023/06/26/1184281638

Yeah. They're fine for messing around/learning with keras/sklearn, but anything heavier than some light inference is going to be offloaded to a device with a discrete GPU.

The point is LLMs are built with Transformer architecture. They're all transformers, attention is an integral part of building worthwhile, contextual answers.

You aren't questioning common knowledge. You're not even bothering with the evidence that provide answers to your questions. You are simply arguing for argument's sake.

You can lead a horse to water, but can't make it drink. Of course you're going to upset people by "feigning" ignorance and ignoring the mountains of supporting evidence provided. You don't get to play the role of an

The lowest-hanging fruit would be nuking any UTM-related tracking parameters ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UTM_parameters ). I'm sure the solution is sophisticated beyond simply handling these, though.

This is where I heard of Orca last night. Love his breakdowns. The idea (and model) is very exciting. I figured efficiency was going to be the next area of breakthrough, since monolith LLMs seem to be VRAM-limited these days. I hope this is

One use case I haven't seen mention of yet is sneaky children attempting to convince their parents that a device is asleep. My eldest has tried this numerous times to no avail, their Eero profile disables Internet access at bedtime.

I'm in my mid-30s and loved SNES and N64 Zelda games with a fervor bordering on zealotry. BOTW is certainly different regarding its core game design, but then again Majora's Mask and OOT are incredibly different in design as well.
