Just to clarify, we're debating whether Robinhood is a success and the measure of success being used is "can early investors cash out for a gain?" What if every company checked that box and couldn't provide lasting value

Yeah, a startup founder seeing a problem and having a clumsy, heavy handed, poorly thought out reaction is super refreshing. Hadn't been this refreshed since like, Friday.

As a recruiter, I have the same frustrations. The vast majority of founders seem to want candidates to have a deep connection to their mission so quickly and there's this expectation that the connection you built means you don't w

I feel like I see this on the internet more and more lately. Paragraph one starts with some shoddy, made up evidence where they mock some idea and then you look for the start of paragraph 2 to figure out what they're really getting the

"We’re in a bubble that’s ready to burst IMO." People have been saying this every single day since I moved to San Francisco in 2009. I guess if you keep predicting it eventually, you might end up being right, but its not exactly i

And its almost as though you're being as disingenuous as possible while trying to mock others for being dishonest. Why not just debate in reality versus saying "well, if I'm intentionally obtuse, I can find a way to make ot

I really dont know how someone could read that story and think the point he was trying to make was "i'm impressed that this restaurant brought me new silverware".

You don't understand why people would pick a small monthly fee over a four figure purchase price for a phone? Because very few people have the savings or extra money to do so.

Yeah, paying for BART in the bay area is like: property taxes go to BART. BART uses it to pay gate agents $150k+ and do no infrastructure improvements. Another measure goes on the ballot because BART desperately needs money to fix infra. Bo

Yank here. I've flown the 380 twice. It's obviously better than the 747, which is a what, 40 year older plane, but that isn't the point. 787s and 350s are both just as nice and more economical for airlines. I prefer business
