The update was intended to keep power draw within what the battery could sustain, since the battery’s peak power output drops as it ages.

It did not go far enough. I discovered during a recent Internet outage that my iPhone 13 Mini will shut off at 9% if I use it as a mobile hotspot for my iPad. I had expected it to go until 0. The remaining battery capacity is at 85%.

You could likely store them in the junk DNA without much risk, as long as you avoid encoding sequences that are the start of coding regions. That said, if you managed to inject them into every cell of your body, this would be the biological

What stops the Russians from reprogramming their radars to switch to a different frequency every 5 minutes as specified by a CSPRNG? It seems like it would make the manual reprogramming of jammers pointless.

What if it does not need to read from system RAM for every token by reusing experts whenever they just happen to be in VRAM from being used for the previous token? If the selected experts do not change often, this is doable on paper.

by ryao 2y ago
It is theoretically possible. Each token only needs 37B parameters and if the same experts are chosen often, it would behave closer to a 37B model than a 671B model, since reusing experts can skip loads from system RAM. You might still be r

The kernel’s graphics drivers are usually MIT licensed. This dates back to code being moved from userland into the kernel for DRM, which was Linux’s idea. The Linux kernel developers are the ones who rocked the boat here.
