I think it comes across as OCD because the author is logging everything they do. But the gist is basically “buy a 10 pack of cloths and wipe your glasses.” That’s what I do. And I shake the cloth beforehand to get sand from my pocket off of

Agree - they may seem like minor design decisions to the visionaries at Medium, but those things alone are why I perceive Medium to be user-hostile. And they’ve had this anti-functionality for many many years. It feels like they don’t want

I didn’t even know I was voting on anything during my first three clicks. “Choose a color” doesn’t equate to “vote on a color” in my mind. I thought I was “choosing a color” to see its rank (and I didn’t get why it was showing me two on the

Aren’t we mostly giving that money to US defense contractors? Raytheon Technologies, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing are getting the bulk of that $40 billion.

No, we have entered monsoon season in SoCal. We get a couple monsoons like that in the summer months. La Nina results in little rain in this area. We want an El Nino, because it will help the drought. Triple La Nina is bad news.

I’ve used KDE and Arch for the last three years and it’s been great and pain-free. I got a new Thinkpad last week and used the archinstall installer, and was up and going in 15 minutes. Very smooth. KDE devs are regularly in the kde subredd

I had a traumatic brain injury as a kid from a fairly-low speed* fall where my skull cracked on a sewer manhole. If someone told me I couldn’t wear a helmet I would tell them to eff off. *I have no memory of it.

I'm not a power user but including the string "render.com" instead of "render" seems to help. I noticed that because I saw some youtube vid titles referring to it that way.
