I find the Network State manifesto laughable for a couple reasons: - I don’t see how existing nations will ever allow “dual citizenship” with a network state. - and by extension how will these Network States actually defend themselves? - an

Mid 40s and try to hike 4.5km daily (we have a nice trail near our house) and longer on the weekends, up to about 12km is ok on the same trail system. If you can find a nearby trail you enjoy with good elevation change that’s IMO the best w

You can be both negligent _and_ preyed on by criminals. It doesn’t make the criminal any less criminal, but it also doesn’t make you any less negligent.

What’s up with the totally broken syntax highlighting in this post, at least on iOS? 2100 micro services and not one of them is a valid syntax highlighter for blog posts. Edit: oh I see it highlights red and underlines every keyword. I find

Another trade off with your approach of sending non-visible entities ahead of time is that it makes wall hacks possible. Anyone aware of any conceptual way to “encrypt” the location data so it’s only usable if the player has line of sight?

Honestly if this was geared towards teams inside a company I would probably lobby for it at my job. Have you considered an “enterprise option”? :)

I also started I the 90s and now that you mention it I don’t think I had any meetings at my first job at a small software company. And even after we were acquired I still think we had at most semi monthly meetings. My first job with daily s

I’m not sure if this is a feature or bug but `asdf` requires you to recompile every tool installed via `go install` (nee `go get`) when you change go versions. IIRC the main reason our team started tracking go versions was we were already u

My number one Slack tip is to use the All Unreads view (which for some reason needs to be enabled in preferences). Bonus tip: it’s not available on mobile which means I now basically never check Slack from my phone. I can’t decide if the Sl

I came to this thread just to post that System 76 should hire you to work on their keyboard shortcuts if they are serious about attracting macOS users. Muscle memory is the only thing keeping me on macOS now, I’ve tried using an IDE on both

Anyone seen good articles on converting go-fuzz tests to native fuzzing? Specifics on the new corpus format and a converter from go-fuzz would be really useful. It’s great to hear that the fuzzer is built on go-fuzz so hopefully the conver

Painfully, yes, being pro-Nazi in the run up to WW2 was entirely legal: https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2019/02/20/695941323... As much as I deplore their views I don’t think they should be
