Amazing analysis. When things like this get such large rounds I can only assume it's because they love the team and are confident that if this does not work out they will pivot to Pinterest for food or something.

It's definitely not better keyword analysis, it's better then nothing keyword analysis. Not only are the aggregate numbers unhelpful, the "top keywords" are usually pretty far off from reality.

I don't understand why the size of inequality matters. If I make $20,000 and Rich guy makes $2,000,000, how does me making $20,000 and him making $200,000,000 million make any difference?

Comparing click-through rate on a passive site like Facebook (I'm there to socialize and I might happen to see something interesting ad-wise) to an active site Google (I'm there to find a product) seems like a bad comparison. It seems like

I don't think it's entirely unreasonable. After all, you'd probably still expect the US Military to come to your aid if the shit hit the fan wherever you are abroad, right?

On that same note, if you don't have enough users to make IE worth supporting, you better have a product targeted at techies, because it does not have wide enough adoption yet among average people.

Presumably there is some software to be installed as well, but yeah I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the press releases of 170 million Google Drive users come out!

I don't know, that's one of the biggest benefits of Dropbox, I tell someone I'll add a shared drive and 9 times out of ten they already have a Dropbox account (in my tech world bubble at least)

"Google+ is not and never will be (and never wanted to be) a Facebook" Tell that to my new Google+ Cover Photo.... Even if all of your points are valid, you must admit they keep releasing numbers trying to show it's this super fast growing

Do you have an example of where city would clarify a zip code further? I'd expect large cities to be the case, but New York, NY seems to get everywhere, so maybe it's country roads? And state is certainly unnecessary, are there any zipcod

My understanding is the whole point of a zipcode is that city and state on a mailer don't matter at all. Doesn't zipcode go to a specific post office?

That's what I was thinking... I assumed the click-through rate of Pins was terrible, it's quite difficult to even figure out that you can.

I'm a strong believer that evolution/sex are the primary drivers for almost everything we do in life. The outrage in the comment thread here is part of the "pretend it's not like that" mentality. I'm sure the marketing people here sensele

Yes, this is the standard for commercial real estate. $3,000 a month really means a lot less then $15/sqft for someone who has looked much into commercial real estate.

It feels kind of weak to me. 37sigs used to be very vocal and strong about what they believed. "Here's our way, and you'll like it or not". This seems like they are really couching their bets... If no one likes the new one, they won't ha
