It doesn't run linux anywhere near as well as a X1 Carbon. I get daily crashes on a fresh install on a M1 Mac after only a couple weeks of having it. My X1 Carbon has been running strong for nearly a year with no memorable crashes duri

You think UCLA, USC, and UCSD are second tier? Last I checked, UCSD is #9 for engineering in the nation, which is above UIUC at #10. USC is #12 and UCLA is #16 relative to Columbia at #15, John Hopkins at #17, Harvard at #21, Princeton at #

I'm sure there's more great ones in California but I can count 14 off the top of my head; I think all of them are nearly within 300 miles of LA too. 1. Caltech 2. Stanford 3. Cal 4. UCLA 5. Harvey Mudd 6. USC 7. UCSD 8. UCD 9. UCS

It's not a big burden to update people, I've just seen the process abused so much that it becomes a colossal waste of time. Why can't I just post an asynchronous update to some group page at the end of the day? > If you do

That means nothing. I have met plenty of people that did calculus in high school and got pushed back into remedial classes in college. Exposure to a concept does not mean proficiency in it.

I ended up just buying a new battery for my t540p. I was reluctant to because I didn't think it could possibly last much longer with the abuse it's been subjected to, but, it's still going strong a year later.
