Gotta say I like how the images on the left change to whatever component you're selecting as you scroll down the configuration, very nice :)

You had to ask and apparently I have nothing to better to do on a Saturday night. It's a Russell Hobbs Model 5569, it says it has a "microchip" inside. If I was to hazard a guess it's at least 25 years old (the post is 1

It took me here https://greem.co.uk/otherbits/jelly.html Nailing jelly to a wall: is it possible? Which I think is HN worthy in its own right. Also the author of that page and I have the same toaster.

One thing I like about using keepassxc is that it has a cli tool built in so I get the best of both worlds https://keepassxc.org/docs/KeePassXC_UserGuide#_command_line...

The 80s theme is my favourite, IMHO the easiest to read (and looks like my terminal)

Also if you do host for other people they need to know that shit might go wrong and they should have their own backups (which is a good thing to teach them with any service).

Try driving on non major roads (and some major) roads in the UK. They often have no markings because they've worn away!

That's a bit weird, normally when cloudflare blocks things you get an error page not a timeout, hopefully you hear something tomorrow when everyone is back at work. Appreciate you looking into this :)

If you've got WPA3 enabled on your router try disabling that. I've found a few devices which don't play well with it. If that doesn't help could be a hardware issue.

I'm going to throw my hat in the Debian ring like a lot of other comments. The whole snap thing annoyed me too. I use Debian solely on Desktops now I do have some Ubuntu servers but slowly moving what I can to Debian.

I have them as a backup SIM since they have (had) reasonable roaming, sadly this doesn't apply to new plans/sims. That's all they're useful for IMHO.

It's not only Google. Same thing happened to us with Hertz (car rental). We rented a card when we got home we found extra charges on our card. Contacted Hertz and fell into the black hole of customer support. After a month or so gave u

We enable IPv6 on CDNs e.g. Cloudfront/Cloudflare and load balancers, never had an issue and I do see IPv6 traffic hitting them. Apart from that it doesn't see much use. Personally I don't use IPv6 since I've never had a

Hopefully you can turn this off. I've seen cases where attackers enter an email address and just keep spamming the login form until the owner accepts the notification. Obviously 2fa would help here but not everyone uses that.
