I agree with everything you've said. But I do know from experience that charging a reasonable late fee (not the audacious scheme OP uses) is a common, legal business practice that is effective at preventing certain types of delinquent pay

Late fees are critical. In some businesses the accounting department will manage debt by paying off vendors in the order of who charges the most interest. If you don't have a late fee, you get shuffled to the bottom of the pile and stay the

You basically have to hack / debug every website from Time Warner in order to use it. I swear I've whipped out chrome inspector / firebug attempting to use TWC websites at least twice. There could be an equally long blog post about the madd

Isn't it obvious that sitting for prolonged periods of time is completely unnatural? We have evolved to run, jump, climb, not spend 8 hrs a day compressing our spines - it is only in the last 100 or so years that sedentary occupations have

Your title is misleading because "Wordpress" as a general brand encompasses the open source Wordpress.org CMS workhorse, which most of us on HN typically associate with the name. Wordpress.com the cloud blog platform has lots of valid compe

Squarespace is quite possibly the most frustrating CMS platform I've ever attempted to configure in my 10 year career. It is not a threat to Wordpress, or even Weebly for that matter.

According to Wikipedia, Squarespace predates Wordpress by one month (April 2003). So "new" CMS is er kind of a uh load of total linkbait crap.

Agreed, and I think we may get the full studio workstation on a tablet faster than the transition from hardware to software. We're probably only one new chip & iOS release away from a platform that can compete with desktop in terms of p
