I'm not an expert on alphabetization, but AFAIK kids actually have some trouble getting the letters "the right way round", I think especially if they start very early. They might be learning the abstract shape first and the l

I'm seeing quite a few startups who seem to focus on helping people document and discover their environmental footprint more so than changing it, often with a focus on compliance. This is obviously great if it does lead to real initiat

My company applied for an EU innovation grant last year. The way you do it, apparently, is you contact one of a handful of companies who specialize in helping with these applications and you promise them a cut of what you might get. It'

I remember talking to my old boss, who was something of an "old money" type, about summer holiday plans, some time in the middle of last decade. My then-girlfriend and I were going by bus to Berlin, 600km or so, to hang out, see A

Seeing this headline I'm not actually sure my OpenWRT router/WiFi AP has been upgraded since I installed it in late 2015. I haven't really thought about it at all, actually. I think that counts as praise? EDIT: ... turns out

Sometimes the shear amount of repetitive code you need to have to accomplish some task is in itself an impediment to understanding, or it will encourage unfortunate shortcuts later on.

I'm fairly certain "recycling" in this case means extracting the gold plating from the circuit boards and maybe the aluminium from the case. I think they're starting to do the batteries as well, but I'm not sure it&

It seem absolutely bizarre to me that a 2014 Mac wouldn't be usable for web browsing, I wonder how much of it is just a matter of taste, or if Apple are playing down-clocking games like they do/did on their phones? My daily driver

I think the America parallels to this statement would be God, democracy, "our way of life" and such, references to which would not at all be unexpected in a letter such as this from the 60's.

Danish counting is no more base 20 than English (that is, it is until 20). The words for 50, 60, 70, 80, and 90 are derived from an old word for twenty, but it's really no different than English having "twenty", "thirty&
