Why using new syntax like ~ [ ]; instead of good old /* */ or pragmas ? I would prefer something like this: void* foo() /* return malloc(SIZE) */ { void *p = (void*) = malloc(SIZE); bzero(p, SIZE);

How much it depends on hard IP blocks ? I mean, can it be ported to FPGAs of other vendors, like Lattice ECP5 ? Did you implement PCIe in HDL or used vendor specific IP block ? Please, provide some resource utilization statistics. Thanks.

Sadly no data provided on how researchers achieved that. Seems they used "regular" planar lithography process with same old dopant (phosphorus). Now wonder if complimentary P-channel is also possible by using regular boron dopant

Btw, using goto to different labels is no good for modern CPUs as it spoils branch predictor. In classic Linux way it's usually goto to same "end" or "fail" label resulting in more efficient code. Let's hope co

Ah, ok, sorry. When I see someone to curse goto I become mad! goto statement is God sent gift.

> The classic solution to do resource management in C is to (ab)use goto Why "(ab)use" goto ? Use it with pleasure! Solution from Linus Torwalds: int somefunc(...) { int ret = E_OK; FILE *a = NULL;

Well, I tried to learn some Python, but I failed. As for Go, perhaps you are right. A good friend of mine, some elder hacker, switched to Go and suggests it to me, but I just have no time for learning one more language to get same job done.

I even more stupid than Anton, I use C instead of Go and Perl instead of Python. I do not use Docker. I distrubute my code with Makefiles. I do not use CMake.

Arh.. nostalgia. I learnt to programme in PDP-11 assembly on ДВК-1 and БК-0010 somewhere in 89-90. That was my second assembly though. The first one was MOS 6502 on Atari 800s, they were quite popular in USSR in late 80th.Funny thing is tha

Thank you! I use standard KiCAD library for 95-98% of components, the rest few I design by myself. I've never had any issues with automated assembly. Anyways, I will check into UL. I admit that KiCAD libs sometimes has broken 3D models

KiCAD. Routing 10 layer PCB with 2000 pin BGA and LPDDR4 was easy. Also I desined a fully OSHW FPGA board in KiCAD (RPi style): https://github.com/Fabmicro-LLC/Karnix_ASB-254

I suggest ARRL Handbook. It covers everything, from atom structure to FPGA programming, through antenna design, modulation/demodulation priciples and digital signal processing. The 2023rd edition counts six volumes. http://a

This Dream Chaser thing reminds me a rarely known USSR orbital "passanger" spaceplane MiG-105[1] from 70s codenamed "Spiral", as it shares same concept. It made a couple of successful suborbital flights, but then the pro
