AFAIK, the best performance IMS were able to achieve with the 512x512x50nm e-beams was 1cm^2 per hour. That's acceptable for etching masks, but still not feasible for chip manufacturing, as wafer goes through 40-50 exposures each would

Starting procedure on MOS6502 is not that simple as it is told in the article. It spends some 7 clocks on doing internal initialization and only then fetches address of first jump from reset vector (0xFFFC/0xFFFD). I find Ben Eater

brlcad.org says it's both CSG and B-REP. Although BRL-CAD is powerful, it is still a collection of tools, not a solid application, which makes it pretty hard to use and to comprehend for a regular CAD user (designer). From their websit

Git is so recent comparing to Sendmail. I began using Git for my projects just a couple of years ago. I was die-hard CVS user, switching to Git was a pain for me. Now with Git I've had to employ Linux best practice - update everything

Previous EoE was when they removed UUCP. PS. I use uucico to automate some offline factory processes for 25+ years.

Of course I can, I can even compile it from source codes, which I sometimes do. :) I use FreeBSD for decades and sendmail was my number one and the only choice of MTA all that time. Not only mine, but all others FreeBSD users I know too. I

Well, at least I learnt that pipelining is for good, it speed-ups execution quite a lot. :)

I do backups of my home servers to BD-RE discs (BDXL 100GB) once a week from ZFS storage. The only problem is poor drive quality - for past five years I changed two dives (Asus branded, all different models). Seems they are not made for reg

Exactly! :) Does anybody know any service or a decent way to convert Google Translate pages to some editable format ? I would like to save that translation just in case I could find time to polish and publish English version.

From viewpoint of organizing backups separating system stuff from host specific makes some sense. Also, you can put /usr/local on separate volume, this allows mounting rootfs read-only which can be useful in some cases.

Thanks. I consider describing my experience using CADs on FreeBSD (KiCAD, FreeCAD), as this is my work at the moment. Though, this won't differ much from using same on Linux. :)
