Funny thing is - I, as a reader, love AMP sites. If a website offers AMP, I will prefer it from normal thing. It has less ads, less bloat, better signal/noise ratio, and the AMP websites look pleasant to eye. So I prefer them even on

I don't think the tragedy is violent human nature; more the fact that some problems just don't have peaceful solutions. One group of people don't voluntarily give up dominance over land (and other finite resources) to other g

As the last time, pull/push access to repos works fine for me, only the web service doesn't work. edit: confirming, push doesn't work either

This looks great. I tried to make animated SVGs once and I haven't found any reasonable way other than editing the source by hand. It was pretty painful, since Inkscape adds a lot of junk to the SVG. This would probably help a lot.

They already tried that. The fact that most people don't really know they have their own Android version with their own weird Android "app store" shows you how successful they were. Not much.

I still think the breakup from Netflix to Netflix+Qwikster (or whatever was the name) would be the right move back then. Maybe it was too soon and poorly communicated, but they were right 6 years ago that streaming was the future and DVD le

I have always wondered - do Screen Savers actually save anything? Do they save significant amount of electricity? Do they make the screen "last longer"? What was their purpose?

I know that Eliezer Yudkowsky is very controversial and some of his statements cannot be taken seriously, but I really liked his sequence of articles on QM. It made it a little bit more accessible to me, who knows very little about it. I

Thanks for a nice explanation. But I still can't see the functional difference between > "the attacker gets to impersonate me" and "the attacker can pretend to be anyone to me" (KCI) Both seem similarly catastrop

Oooh, people are comparing native and Electron apps . Then yeah, in that case native makes sense. I thought they are talking about the chrome app version of telegram, which I am using right now.

I don't get it. Why is native better than browser application? Browser application is by definition better sandboxed and can do much less damage to the system. Normal application can do mayhem. And Telegram needs root access for instal
