And exactly because of this perceived negativity, SO recently changed their close criteria - right now, "Not Constructive" is not even an option in "close" voting.

The problem with this approach is - I know how dangerous is to run un-updated system, and I am too lazy to check updates at yet another system, and correct stuff when the updates break something. And updates always break something.

Well, from IDG, I prefered to read ComputerWorld anyway. It's apparently for IT managers (which I am not), but it at least contains some information, unlike PC World's "top 10 shareware applications of the month" and &qu

The second I hear "XMission", I remember Maddox's website ( http://maddox.xmission.com/ ). Maybe I spend too much time on the internet.

Some sites are auto-flagged (like anyhing from The Onion). Maybe it's the issue with Nate Silver too.

....why not just run OTR on top of Jabber? It's pretty surveillance proof and they are applications for iOS/Android that support all of that. I fail to see the point.

With the new technology (fingerprints, retina scans), it's very hard to pull that off I think. Even spies today have problems with that; it's not enough to just put on fake moustache when you are easily identified by your fingerpr

Everytime I connect to darknet, I feel like Batman with a secret, underground, Gotham identity. In the rain, on the rooftop, or something like that. Even when the darknet is nowadays used mostly for spam and child porn.

Uh... what? You should be "held liable" for security bugs? What a load of crap. This individual saw the bug, announced it to Facebook using their bounty program, they fixed it pretty fast and gave him money. What more do you want?
