That's in the virtual DOM. React will diff the VDOM and browser DOM and only render actual differences. The React API will also let a component decide for itself if it should be rendered.

Makes me feel like writing "Goodbye, Functional Programming" and making my case with a bunch of bad development practices. A good programmer writes good programs. The tools don't really come into it.

Yes, I discovered my weird hip tilt when I was using a bad seat. It was then that I realised I barely used my hands to steer at all (sharp turns excepted)

I think the kicker here is that if you are a born musical genius (and there are such things) those 10K hours will get you on a world stage. Otherwise, as you say: > advanced student in a very competitive field...

The images depict the violation if a victim. If you were in the position of that victim, I doubt you'd want those images being legally owned and shared.

See for yourself - like toomanybeersies says, they should have an orange roe (boys and girls both have them - scallops switch sex as required), attached by some stringy material. The roe has a flavour and texture different to the white meat

Sometimes the anonymous white discs will have a bit sliced almost off and coloured with orange food dye. Often not. You'll see genuine (imported) scallops at markets occasionally, but it's years and years since I saw a restaurant

Additionally, most Australians (don't know about the rest of the world) have never eaten an actual scallop. Mostly they're discs hole-punched from skate wings (a skate's a bit like a stingray)

I was shocked by the food in UK supermarkets. Pricey and poor quality. But in the country greengrocers had great fresh produce much cheaper than the supermarkets. Bewildering.

Spent a month in Mexico City ("DF"!) about a year ago. I was surprised to enjoy it as much as I did. I'd seriously consider living there if it weren't for the pollution.

Since we're swapping anecdotes - I've personally known 4 monolingual English speakers, who've lived and worked in the EU (Spain, Switzerland and Germany) and got long fine. They weren't monolingual when they left.

I'm putting together a React course right now and have specifically avoided Redux (& even server-side React). I don't want to get in the way of the a-ha moment when you see React components working together simply and cleanly

God, I remember hunting up the various Inside Macintosh books in the mid-90s. I finally found some in the library of a tech college. "No, we don't even let our students take those out of the library." So I made hand-written n

This is an awesome product, but: the name and price-point will not encourage customers to take the product seriously. For a while I've been thinking about how hard it is to wean corporate analysts off Excel (it's their frame of re

I've heard similar. Also with family members being taught how to use the morphine IV dripper, and what a fatal dose looks like. The alternative is for patients to refuse food and water until they die. I'd been thinking about this
