Looks very nice. I wrote a similar tool to this back in the late 2000s in rails, and it was fundamental to our organization at the time. I've been looking for alternative at my new company. I'll definitely spend some time with you

Nice! For a home-rolled solution, I use a GE CYNC ST19 Edison Style bulb in a socket right outside my office door. I have it configured through Home Assistant ( https://www.home-assistant.io/ ), and then use Hammerspoon ( htt

I'm a CIO/CTO in a similarly-sized (revenue, although we have roughly 900 employees) company in the distribution space. We do almost all development internally, but I have been developing for decades so I know what good looks like

Why would you make a definitive statement about a product without doing the research to make sure you know what you're talking about?

Does this work with VMWare Workstation as well? I'd love to run macOS in a VM on my Linux desktop for the few apps I have to use on macOS...

Agreed...I fail to see how macOS is an improvement. I mean, you have /Applications, but you also have /Library, ~/Library, and so on.

What book of his (or more generally, on Advaita) do you recommend specifically?

Umm...pointing to facts based on real data isn't bitter. Did you see even look at the graph that was shared? It's pretty clear ruby is trending downward and I say this as a past long-time ruby advocate and fan.

My full hammerspoon config is a mix of things I've collected/written over the years, but the Miro-specific section is simply: -- window management hs.loadSpoon("MiroWindowsManager") -- set to 0.x for animation, 0

I use hammerspoon with https://github.com/miromannino/miro-windows-manager...it's a great tiling experience.

Curious about this as well...I thought it wasn't quite there as a daily driver OS, but would be happy to be wrong ;-)

After trying yabai, Amethyst, and many others, I landed on hammerspoon.org + https://github.com/miromannino/miro-windows-manager a few years ago and haven't looked back. I couldn't live on a Mac without hamme

I've been using DEVONThink for just this for a few years, and it's very good at it. However, it's macOS only and has far more features than I need (simple searching, tagging, and organization). I tried paperless a year ago an

I'd argue you're better off with macOS + something like Parallels or, if you just need ubuntu, multipass. Introducing Windows to get a Linux-compliant environment is reaching around your back to scratch your elbow.

I did Go for around a year and found I'm not its target audience. I need to build database-backed web apps quickly and, while possible in Go, it wasn't easy . Rails is a dream in comparison for that purpose . I experimented with
